Responsibilities:

» managing, training and leading staff in kitchen for restaurant services as well as events
» planning and preparing menus and food cost
» preparing and ensuring the quality of a number of different dishes
» ordering supplies, and knowing budgets
» storing different ingredients and foods effectively
» working safely and following workplace hygiene procedures in their kitchen
» plan, cost and prepare menus
» liaise with front of house manager, owners and customers
» keep informed of trends and changes in the hospitality industry
» prepare all types of foods from appetisers to main dishes and desserts
» implement and monitor food safety guidelines and workplace health and safety (WHS) practices
» report to owners
» manage kitchen staff, train and guide them
